The final Feedly review!

The spread of topics today were very similar to the last 2 days, including the CoronaVirus and Trump. The headlines were, “Trump Touts Border Wall In Face Of Coronavirus: ‘Border Security Is Health Security” by Sarah Ruiz-Grossman HuffingtonPost and “Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue calls coronavirus a ‘pandemic’” by Betsy Klein, Dan Merica, Jason Hoffman and Kaitlan Collins, CNN. These headlines told me that the CoronaVirus is definitely a serious issue that many Americans care about and the media outlets believe is a VERY pressing matter that is not being handled well by the President.
The first article focuses on President Trump’s speech he gave at a rally where he speaks about the negative response the media has given him about the way he is dealing with the disease. Trump assured the people that he is taking the issue seriously and used this to bring up how his wall is important in health safety as well. The article also acknowledged Trump’s comment about how the democratic sided media is using the CoronaVirus as a hoax in order to attack his political game. The article ended talking about how the economy is taking a major hit in the stock market and Trump’s was not concerned in the slightest.
The second article was a review about Sonny Perdue’s speaking to farmers at the Commodity Classic conference in San Antonio. Sonny used the term Pandemic to describe the outbreak and CNN was sure to recognize the term had not been used by the White House yet. This was worth reporting because Mike Pence is supposed to clear all information being put out about the Virus. Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme commented how a pandemic is a serious term used when the majority of the population is expected to get the disease and he claims the numbers do not support that conclusion. These articles follow the inverted pyramid which summarized the main points in the beginning and had more refined supporting details in the end.
